How Does A 3D LCD Screen Technology Work

Previously this technology was quite primitive and many viewers would develop nausea. Developers have been working tirelessly to find ways in which this can be done so that people have a pleasurable movie watching experience. There are pros and cons to the various technologies that are now available.
Humans have two eyes which face forward this gives them binocular vision. They eyes are separated by about three inches. This causes each eye to perceive certain images differently. This allows the eyes to see depth. While each eye may see the same object differently, the brain receives this information in a way that allows humans to perceive distance and depth.
Explaining this further, if one looks at a glass through one eye and then the next eye, the image shift is larger as the glass is bought closer to the person. When the glass is placed further away and looked at in the same way, the shift in the place becomes much smaller. This demonstrates just how the brain is able to perceive depth.
Technology is now able to trick the brain into believing that the movie is being watched in 3D. Technology enables each eye to see a different image. There are many technologies that are used to bring 3D viewing to the viewers.
Wilhelm Rollman, a German who hailed from Leipzig developed the color filter or Anaglyph Glasses way back in 1853. Each glass has a different color this causes each eye to view one of the overlapping images and this was the beginning of viewing in 3D. Viewing this way meant that everything was seen in strong shades of red and green. This makes these unsuitable for home TV viewing.
If the quality is poor, viewers will experience nausea and this negates the 3D experience. One of the advantages is that these are relatively cheap. Furthermore, any monitor can display the color tinted 3D video. The overall cons far exceed this singular pro to these glasses.
As far back as 1952, 3D polarized glasses were utilized to watch a movie. Polarized glasses are felt to be the best technology for commercial 3D projectors that movie theaters use worldwide. This is why the 3D viewing experience is so much better now.
When light oscillates along a plane of electric field, this is known as polarization of light. This permits to screen out light selectively by using polarizing films. The glasses permit images to come through the lenses differently. This is all due to the different polarizations of the light coming in.
Due to the fact that each eye perceives the image differently, a 3D effect is achieved. Glasses that are suitable for movies will not work with 3D LCD screen technology. Technology is also advancing to the point whereby it will be possible to watch TV without the glasses.
